Based in the Hartlepool Enterprise Centre, Berry’s Kitchen is run by Colin Berry, a professional chef with over 30 years experience. We asked Colin some quick fire questions to get know the man behind the brownies!
How did your business begin?
The business began during lockdown. I’m a trained chef with over 30 years experience and was missing being in the kitchen. I decided to set this up on the side and it went from there. Just a few months later it turned out that I didn’t have to return to work as it had grew so quickly!
What do you love most about being based in Hartlepool?
The people. Our town is renowned for getting behind small businesses and supporting local. Without all of the support of my local and loyal customers, all the sharing etc on social media and word of mouth, Berry’s Kitchen wouldn’t be here today!
After yours, what is your favourite Hartlepool-based business?
Hartlepool is thriving with some fantastic local independent businesses – it would be too hard to choose!
What are you doing to recover after the pandemic?
Working with other local businesses, supplying our products and trying to expand our range!
